Finding YOU After a Breakup

Finding YOU After a Breakup

Throughout my life, I’ve struggled to identify who I really was.

I would move from phase to phase, for awhile I wanted to be a sk8ter girl, surfer girl, then fantasy football girlfriend, I tried on a variety of different “types”. None feeling quite right.

After my break up something happened, I lost my sense of purpose. I built this life around him and what his life was “supposed” to be that when that was gone I had to identify what I wanted in life?

What did my dream life look like? Who did I look like? I looked to successful single women. Women empowering women, Jen Sincero, Brooke Castillo, Brene Brown. But here’s where I went wrong, I wanted to BE THEM. Instead of being MYSELF.

The problem with this is when you try to force yourself to be someone else, it will always feel “off”. You’ll never feel satisfied. You won’t stand in your confidence because you’ll feel like a fraud.

I had to learn how to unapologetically decide what works for me. I had to learn to unapologetically BE ME. And recognize that I could be successful and have the life I want unapologetically.

To do this you must TEST, TEST, TEST.

Test out what things you like in life and what you don’t like, tweak, and analyze the results. It’s very similar to the scientific method. What works for one person may not work for you. So explore, test, tweak and analyze.

In this LIVE I talk about what that looked like for me and how I help my clients do the same.
